Sean McGinley And Staff

Cathedral

Description: This award goes to the coach, and staff, who has elevated their team the best.

Breakdown: Coach Sean McGinley has had an amazing year, winning everything they showed up to. The Fighting Irish of Cathedral won their first IHSWCA team state championship this year, as well as their 3rd straight IHSAA state championship. Coach McGinley and staff have consistently been able to get the most out of their kids. With those state championships they also picked up titles at the Al Smith and the City Tournament. Finishing in second place is Coach Lorek and his staff who gave Cathedral a run for their money at the state tournament. In third place is Franklin Community’s new head coach, Jim Tonte and his staff. In a year Franklin Community has gone from a program that was going downhill to a team that finished ranked in the top 10, while taking 4 guys to state, something they haven’t done in a long time.
