Description: This award goes to the best freshman wrestler in the state.

 

Breakdown: This year’s freshman class was another great one. While this class did produce any state champs, it was a good class all aorund with several guys making the semis in the their first year on the mat. This award was somewhat tough to give out since there was no freshman in the finals this year but I felt that Brownsburg's Brady Ison was the best freshman this year. He placed 3rd at state that year with his only loses coming to the champ and runner-up. Ison also had 3 wins over the runner-up this year as well.
