Silas Allred
Shenandoah
Description: This award goes to the wrestler who had the best season.
Breakdown: This award was much easier to give year. For the second year in a row Jesse Mendez of Crown Point finished in second place with an amazing sophomore campaign. Evansville Mater Dei’s Eli Dickens capped off his senior year with a state title, while beating the returning champ 3 times this year. Both wrestlers could’ve won this award in another year, but its hard not to give it to Shenandoah’s Silas Allred. When you go a full season and no one can make it 6 minutes with you, that is as impressive as it gets. Allred won his second state title with a pin over a previous undefeated wrestler in the finals to cap off his dominating season, earning him the Hoosiermat Wrestler of The Year.
