GIMSON NAMED SAC W.O.W.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Indiana Tech freshman Matthew Gimson was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Gimson went 4-0 at the Trine Invitational this past weekend to take home the 133-lbs. title for his first collegiate crown. The Elkhart, Indiana native had a pins in the quarterfinals and championship bout while he recorded tech falls in his first round matchup and the semifinals.
It is the first time in his career that he has won the weekly award.
