OKLAHOMA CITY – Indiana Tech redshirt senior Scottie Sopko was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Sopko went 5-0 at the Patriot Open Saturday to win the 174-lbs., the first of his collegiate career. The Hobart, Indiana native had all of his matches go full time while the 20th-ranked wrestler in his weight class upset 11th-ranked Jack Servies of Marian in the semifinals. He would win the title with a 3-1 victory over Southeastern's Coleman Bryant.

It is the first time in his career that he has won the weekly honor.
