Description: This award is given to the wrestler who came out of nowhere to make it to the state tournament.

Breakdown: This was the only award that had a winner that left no discussion. Coming in to the state tournament with very little wrestling experience is an already exceptional feat but to them win it is almost unheard of. That is exactly what Brownsburg’s Dorian Keys this year at heavyweight. He came into the state tournament ranked high and did not disappoint. From not wrestling last year to winning a state title, earns Dorian Keys the Hoosiermat Breakout Wrestler of the Year.
