Leo's Ian Heath has committed to wrestle next season for the Knights of Marian University. Heath is a 3-time state qualifier for the Lions, while placing 5th in 2019 and 6th in 2020. Heath projects to be a 133/141 in college.

IHSWCA Middle School takes place this weekend, January 23rd, 2020, up at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

Greyhound redshirt sophomore Jack Eiteljorge has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday morning. Eiteljorge, currently ranked #5 at 165 in the NWCA Division II Coaches Rankings, moved to 4-0 on te young season...

Gabe Phillips, Centerville, has decided to stay in state and wrestle for Manchester next year. Phillips is a state qualfier, making it to the show his sophomore season, and is a semi-state qualifier  the other two years. Phillips projects to be a 149 at the next level.

Lawrence North's Anthony Hughes has had an up and down seson this year, but was able to show the state what he could do Thusday night at the MIC Tournament. Hughes takes out two top 10 opponents, David Pierson of Warren Central and Brac Hooper of Carmel, on his way to a conference title. 

Franklin Community's Tyler Fuqua has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Fuqua is a state qualfier, qualifying his freshman year, and a 2-time ticket rounder. Fuqua projects to be a 165/174 at the next level.

Perry Merdiian's Aiden Warren has committed to wrestle for the Falcons of Air Force next year. Warren is a 3-time state qualfier  and 2-time placewinnner, placing 3rd the last two seasons. Warren is also a Fargo All-American, placing 8th in 2018. He is also a NHSCA All-American, getting 3rd in the same year. Warren projects to be a 174/184 at the next level.

Alec Freeman, Evansville Mater Dei, had an amazing weekend at team state taking out previously topped ranked David Pierson of Warren Central. Before that Freeman notched a dominant win over Portages Jack Coyle at their Holiday Tournament.

Perry Meridian's Matthew Koontz jumps up several weight classes aand takes out two top 8 guys. Koontz not only won both matches against retuning state placers Riley Rust and Javen Estrada, he won each match by fall helping Perry Meridian remain undefeated on the year.

Brandon Bolin, Chesterton, comes up big for the Trojns in their dual against Hobart. Bolin picks up a fall in a tight match with previously top ranked Tyler Turley. 

Avon's Tyler Conley has committed to wrestle for the Greyhounds of Indianapolis. Conley is a 2-time state qualfier for the Orioles an is currently ranked in the top 10 in the state at 152. Conley projects to be a 157 at the next level.

Mater Dei's Blake Boarman has committed to wrestle for the Mocs next season. Boarman is a 3-time state placer, fininshing 3rd as a freshman, 2nd as a sophomore, and winning the title last season in his junior year. Other credentials for Boarman include an 8th place fininsh at FloNationals. Boarman is projected to be a 133/141 in college.

For the second time this season, Indiana wrestling redshirt freshman Graham Rooks has earned Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors. Rooks, a native of Columbus, Ind., beat No. 14 Yahya Thomas of Northwestern on Saturday...

Jimtown's Riley Horvath has decided to continue her wrestling career at Indiana Tech. Horvath is a 2-time state placer, finishing 6th and 7th.

Korigan Milkey, Elwood, has committed to wrestle for the Warroiors of Indiana Tech. Milkey is a 2-time state placer, finishing 3rd and 8th.

Anderson's Desiree King has decided to continue her wrestling career at Indiana Tech. King is a 2-time state placerwinner, finishing 3rd and 8th.

Northside's Michaela Horstmeyer has decided to stay home in Fort Wayne and wrestle for Indiana Tech next year. 

Blake Mulkey has transfered from Gardner-Webb and is now a Knight. Mulkey was a multiple time state placer for Brownsburg, placing 3rd in 2016 and 2018 and 2nd in 2017. Mulkey is projected to wrestle 141 for the Knights.

Maconaquah's Aaron McKinley has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. McKinley is a multiple time semi-state qualfier. McKinley is projected to wrestle 157 in college.

Penn's Vince Sparrow has committed to the University of the Cumberlands. Sparrow is a 2-time state qualifier for Penn/ Sparrow projects as a 133/141 pounder in college.

Portage's Damari Dancy has committed to continue his wrestling career next year in Iowa at Wartburg College. Dancy is a 2-time state qualfier, and finished 4th this year at 285. Dancy is projected to wrestle heavyweight in college.

Cathedral state champion Holden Parsons has committed to wrestle for the University of Indianapolis. Parsons is a 3-time state qualfier, placing 6th as a junior before reaching the top of the podium this year. Parsons is projected to wrestle heavyweight in college.

Wheeler state placer, Giovanni Diaz, is follwing his brother to Pennsylvania and has committed to wrestler for the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall. Diaz is 3-time state qualifier and 2-time placer, finishing 3rd and 8th. Diaz is projected to wrestle 133 in college.

Jay County's Mason Winner has committed to wrestle for the University of Dubuque. Winner is a 4-time state placer for Jay County, finishing 7th and 8th before getting 5th the last 2 years. WInner is projected to wrestle184 in college.

Eli Pack, Culver Academies, becomes the first commit of the class of 2021 as he has committed to wrestle for Army. Pack finished 4th this past season at 195 and will be an early favorite to wrestle under the lights next season. Pack is projected to wrestle 197 at the next level.

Joe Rice, Arsenal Tech, has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. Rice is a semi-state qualfier. Cash is projected to wrestle 174 in college.

Warren Central's Aundre Beatty has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. Beatty is a state placer for the Warriors, finishing 6th in 2019. Beatty is projected to wrestle 141 in college.

Churubusco's Reese Wicker has committed to continue his wrestling career next year at Concordia University. Wicker was a state qualfier in 2019. Wicker is projected to wrestle 197/285 in college.

Warren Central's Dennis Hubbard committed to wrestle for the Greyhounds of Indianapolis. Hubbard is a state qualifier for the Warriors. Hubbard is projected to wrestle 285 at the next level.

Beech Grove's Harley Taylor has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. Taylor is a semi-state ticket rounder. Taylor is projected to wrestle 141/149 in college.

Justice Cash, Bloomington North, has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. Cash is a 4-time semi-state qualfier. Cash is projected to wrestle 149 in college.

Bellmont state placer, Caden Friedt, has committed to wrestle for Wabash next year. Friedt placed 8th this year at 195. Friedt projects as a 197 pounder in college.

Excell Brooks, Lawrence North, has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian. Brooks is a semi-state qualfier. Brooks is projected to wrestle 197 in college.

Perry Meridian's Noah Baker has committed to wrestle for the Knights of Marian University. Baker is a 2-time semi-state qualifier, making the ticket rounder this year. Baker projects as a 157/165 pounder in college.

Reece Humphrey has been named the winner of the 2019 Terry McCann Freestyle Coach of the Year by USA Wrestling.

Evansville Mater Dei's Macartney Parkinson has committed to wrestle for the Boilermakers of Purdue next year. Parkinson is a 2-time state qualifier, placing 7th at 170 last year. Parkinson projects to wrestle 184 in college.
